كل عيد عمال وعاملات وانتو بخير!

احتفل العمال في لبنان أوّل مرة بعيدهم في الأوّل من أيار عام 1907 في دالية الروشة. في كتاب « حكاية أول نوّار في العالم وفي لبنان »، يُذكر أنه تم اختيار موقع الدالية لأنها كانت على « مقفرة من كل مسكن وبعيدة عن عيون الرقباء ». اليوم، تبقى الدالية أكبر مساحة طبيعية حاضنة في قلب المدينة، مُتاحة للعمال والعاملات ولجميع السكان – على اختلاف جنسياتهم وانتماءاتهم وأوضاعهم الاقتصادية – للاستمتاع ببيروت وبحرها.

Workers in #Lebanon celebrated the first time on May 1, 1907, in Dalieh- #Raouche.
In the book « The Story of May 1st in the World and in Lebanon », Dalieh is mentioned as a site for commemoration because it is « away from every residence and far from surveillance ». Today, #Dalieh remains the largest natural habitat in the heart of the city, available to workers and to all residents – of all nationalities, affiliations and economic conditions – to enjoy Beirut and its sea.
