Fawaz’s passion for painting started in her early childhood years. Her native village of Dhour Choueir was a natural living space for the artist to discover beauty.
Mountains and valleys, pine trees, the scent of thyme and briars were the inspirations that stimulated her to cultivate her talent.
Between 1982 and 1987 Fawaz enrolled in fine arts classes at the Lebanese American University of Beirut, where she developed her skills as a painter.
She also took courses on the human figure with Paul Guiragossian.
